It really tickled me that things havn't changed very much in NH over the past twelve years. Thanks for the h/t.

Cheers49erDweethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08376084827120286674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13211373.post-1158764176892467012006-09-20T07:56:00.000-07:002006-09-20T07:56:00.000-07:00I know what you mean about NHSee latest installmen...I know what you mean about NH

See latest installment at A State of Mind.Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09628454969899731552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13211373.post-1158694403688269462006-09-19T12:33:00.000-07:002006-09-19T12:33:00.000-07:00Q, thanks. bill, you probably found at least one ...Q, thanks. bill, you probably found at least one photo on the website of some of my Chinese-American friends - who by-the-way are the best 'special event lunch providers' in the universe in my book - but there could be more pics out there, true.

I guess to be fair I should go through my 'before' photos and post a couple of them here, too. Something else to work on. Just what I need. (sigh)

Thanks for the kindness and nice words. Its reassuring to an old man to be able to fool folk as wise as you. (grin) I've used "Google Alerts" for quite a while to keep track of my media mentions, just to know what's being said about me (smile). Of course it doesn't help when they misspell my name (frown).

I really am enjoying your state-of-mind, too. Would love to be able to retrace some of your steps in that area next summer. First of all the natives seem to be mostly friendly, most of them probably speak our language and thirdly we could carry along our own O² supplies for Mrs. Dweet. I only hope Newfoundland isn't so close to New Hampshire that they emulate those sturdy Yankee's practice of eschewing public eateries - or else hiding them in obscure locations, far from tourists' eyes.

Cheers49erDweethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08376084827120286674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13211373.post-1158690769845217972006-09-19T11:32:00.000-07:002006-09-19T11:32:00.000-07:0049rd - I have to admit to some cybersnoooping. Whe...49rd - I have to admit to some cybersnoooping. When I first ran across your comments on Q's blog, later mine as well and several others I frequent, I thought I would google to find out just who you were. I am pretty good at finding cyberfolks and I won't say how and where I found it but I actually came across a picture of you at a volunteer function.

Now seeing this current picture and comparing it to your last one it is hard to believe this is the same man. The white hair and mustache have not changed but over half the man is missing. I won't say you look better because my first impression was you looked like a nice fellow, but now you look like a nice and much healthier fellow.

May God keep you healthy, and ever Minding the Gap.Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09628454969899731552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13211373.post-1158689790251740642006-09-19T11:16:00.000-07:002006-09-19T11:16:00.000-07:00Wonderful news! Enjoying lot's more stamina, get-up-and-go (whatever that is) and my knee joints and hip sockets have really appreciated the respite.

I've always enjoyed excellent blood pressure and heart/pulse readings, but was fast approaching serious apnea, diabetes, further joint deterioration and a couple of other age-related infirmities. The results of my routine medical screenings now are more typical of 40 year olds, and I was recently able to again pass the DMV physical exam qualifying as a commercial vehicle driver - even as far as carrying passengers.

So its truly been a great blessing. Of course I have no idea how much longer I'll "tarry", but am doing the best I can to stretch it out until I'm able to hear the 'sound of the trumpet', or whatever else it is He has for me.

Cheers49erDweethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08376084827120286674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13211373.post-1158622713568313562006-09-18T16:38:00.000-07:002006-09-18T16:38:00.000-07:00Well done, 49er!
