In spite of a couple of weeks of struggling through this mucky swamp-like morass of California mud for way too long, 49er is finally about back to normal. Posting should resume soon. Thanks for checking in.

So sand traps were actually mud holes in stead?
Yes, at least in the equestrian center they were! It seems unbeknownst to us sometime over the past 12 months the horse folk "treated" the soil in their show ring with something to keep it from compacting too much, thus protecting the show horse hoofs. And also acting to retain rainwater, rather than allowing it to run off and the ground to thus dry out.
Little did we know when we set up during a sunny day the rains would do what they did. But at least we had a convenient place from which to fish!
Good to see you out and about the blogosphere, 49er. When you're sitting in front of the keyboard, at least your boots stay dry.
Well, yes, stephen, but then why would one wear boots whilst clad in pajamas? (hee, hee)
Oops, my wife will see that and I'm now officially 'busted'.
Cheers
